Thank you to all of the parents that attended the two meetings on May 13th to learn about the Elementary summer reading and math programs. If you were unable to attend the meeting, look for a note sent home by your teacher. If you have further questions, please contact your teacher.
In summary, CIPLC has purchased membership with the Math website called IXL.com. for all grade 01-07 students of the next school year. Students log on with a username and password to practice their math skills at their own pace, on their own time. A general schedule was sent home by the teachers to aid parents in knowing what their student should be working on.
The teachers have also prepared membership to RAZ-KIDS.com for specific elementary students over the summer. Each student (with parent help) can log in under their teacher's name and a specific picture password. Once on the site, students can enjoy an array of level reading and even record their own voice as they read certain selections.
Both websites allow the teachers to follow what their students are doing (or not doing) throughout the summer.
We hope to inspire our students to maintain their reading and math skills over the long summer break!
