  • Fall Carnival-The Fall Carnival is the last weekend in October. Also known as the Halloween Carnival, the PTO organizes this as a school fundraiser. School classes and organizations have game booths. A rule is that you must come in a Halloween costume!
  • Fine Arts: Music, Drama, Visual Art- Music concerts, Drama productions, and Art displays!
  • Athletics- CIPLC students participate in sports tournaments in Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Roller Hockey, and Tennis. These are through the EVAC or VANAS Leagues, as well as against local Venezuelan schools.
  • Teacher Appreciation Day - The PTO generously sponsors a week full of appreciation activities for the faculty of CIPLC. Thanks PTO!!
  • Reading and Book Fair- CIPLC has an annual Reading and Book fair that highlights the creative geniuses of its students in writing and reading. Guest readers in classes, and student authors works are put on display for all to see.
  • Science and Technology Fairs- CIPLC students showcase their knowledge of the sciences and technology. The results of field trips, experiments, inventions, computer classes and engineering highlight the day, along with 'strongest bridge made of toothpicks" and a "egg protection" drop being exciting community competitions.
  • Knowledge Bowl- EVAC schools compete in friendly competition in a "Jeaopardy" game show format to see who has the knowledge.
  • International Day- In a celebration of the cultural and ethnic diversity of the student and community population, each CIPLC class chooses a country to research. When International Day comes, the Gecko Dome is turned into a showcase of the cultures of that country. Ethnic food, dancing, skits and music are part of this fun-filled educational day.
  • Dances and Galas- Students and parents and other organizations organize dances. Prom, PTO Valentines Day Dance, and the Spring Fling are a few. Local charity groups also organize fundraisers.
  • Forensics Tournament- In this EVAC speech and debate tournament, school teams are judged in oratory and argumentative skills.
  • College & Career Days- In our continuing efforts to place students in the finest universities, CIPLC invites university representatives to come meet with our students and provide information and assistance. Many of our parents also take the time to discuss their occupations with students, giving them insight into various professions. Contact  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. • Field Trips- Students and teachers frequently embark on classroom field trips to locations in the city and surrounding areas. Some examples are marine biology field research, visiting local oil drilling fields and refineries, local museums, musical and cultural events. Ed-Ventures is a unique example of this.
  • Ecology Day- Ecology Day occurs in the spring for middle and high school students. Students travel to neighboring islands in nearby beautiful Mochima National Park, or to camps in nearby mountains for overnight excursions. While there, students learn about the local ecology and environment from expert guides and instructors. Students also participate in group activities that foster positive interpersonal skills.
  • Beach Day and Water Day Every year, PreK-12 students spend a day visiting some of the most beautiful beaches in the world which are located in the area of Puerto La Cruz. These trips play a key role in building positive group dynamics and a sense of team spirit between new and returning students and faculty. The students are divided up into elementary, middle school, and high school groups and then spend the day at the beach in fun activities. Since CIPLC is located right on the Caribbean Ocean, most activities center around water and the beach. Parents may donate time with their personal boats and equipment.
