Welcome to the information pages from the Board @ CIPLC. This page contains links to news about what the Board at CIPLC is doing in conjunction with the administration to better serve the school's students and staff.

The Board is made up of 6 members. They discuss and vote on matters that directly affect school policy, budget, and governing in conjunction with the school's administration.

Specific board roles are determined annually amongst board members by mutual agreement. Board meetings are held at CIPLC on the 4th Wednesday night of each month. All members of the CIPLC community are invited to attend.

General Duties Include:

  • Adopt policies to guide the school operation.
  • Appoint and evaluate the Superintendent.
  • Approve the annual budget.
  • Serve as an appraisal body for the overall effectiveness of the school program.
  • Approve annual school calendar
  • Identify Board committees to oversee the general operation of the school. General committees include: policy, finance, and facilities.
  • Work in partnership with the school administration in presenting to the Association the needs of the school.
  • Serve as an adjudicating body in the event of policy or operations conflict.
  • Approve policies regarding personnel practices, salary scales and terms of employment.
